About this Site

Welcome to World-of-Aviation.de - Bjoern Schmitt-Aviation Photography

I created this web site to share my passion for commercial aviation with folks who appreciate the beauty of airliners in addition to the aviation industry as a whole. Sharing the collection with you on this web site over the coming years will be my pleasure.

This Site contains a day-by-day growing database of commercial airplane pictures, no warbirds at all.
Browse through the gallery by selecting your favoure topic. Either 'most viewed' or 'special liveries' or simply sorted by location, airline, aircraft or category. Furthermore you can search the gallery by typing your desired keyword into the little search bar on the top right corner of each website.
Only you as a visitor can make this site more enjoyable, since seeing people enjoying my photos or sending me any comments on these, make me feel more happy and those power me up in taking more and more photos to share with you.

Thank you for visiting and thank you in advance for visiting in the future and telling your aviation friends and colleagues about this web site. I do wish all of my website guests an enjoyful time while surfing my photos.

About myself

I am an all-time aviation enthusiast and since 2001 a fully licensed Air Traffic Controller at Frankfurt Approach Control, in charge for all traffic flying in and out, as well as for taffic from several small airfields surrounding the Frankfurt airport.
I am taking photos from airplanes since I was a young kid, first just for fun but later I started to shoot
semi-professional. Today I am using up to date equipment and shoot as well on request. Because of my hobby I have found friends from several countries to share this hobby with me.
My base is Frankfurt, Germany, but I do travel all over the world.
